Step One: Pre-Booking Consultation
If you don’t yet know what kind of test you need, or you have any other questions about our services, start by giving us a call on 0800 002 9965. We’re always happy to chat, free-of-charge, and there’s no obligation to book a test after your consultation.
Step Two: Making Your Booking
Once you’re happy with what services you require, you can book your test online, or over the phone if you prefer. We’ll take a deposit at this point, which will be deducted from your final bill. It’s easy; just pick a date, time, and location, and we’ll be there.
Step Three: Pre-Test Interview
After you’ve made your booking, we’ll have to conduct a brief, informal interview with you so we can design your test questions. We can do this over the phone. We’ll ask you about the situation and what you’re trying to find out about or prove. We’ll then go away and design your test questions accordingly.
Step Four: Briefing
On the day of your test, whether it’s in our office or your desired location, we’ll tell you exactly what is going to be on the test. We do this because it’s important that we avoid surprising you with unexpected questions.
We’ll also give you a rundown of the various equipment we’re going to connect to your body because we need your express consent. We’ll also give you an opportunity to ask any final questions you have.
Step Five: Practice Round
Once you’re connected to our equipment, we can start asking questions. Before we get into the main part of the test, we run through practice questions. This provides the following benefits:
It helps us to calibrate the machine according to your truthful and untruthful responses.
It allows you to get familiar with how the test is going to run.
It gives you an opportunity to calm down and get over any lingering nervousness.
We’ll run through practice questions until we’re sure that you understand and are comfortable with how the test is going to run.
Step Six: The Main Event
Once we’ve completed the practice round, we’ll let you know that the test has begun. Try to relax and remember that we won’t ask you about anything you don’t already know about.
The questions will be structured in a way that you should only answer with one or two words. Try not to elaborate or explain your answers. Don’t worry if it seems like we’re asking you the same questions repeatedly- that’s part of the test.
Step Seven: Final Report
Once your test is complete, give us 24 hours, and we’ll provide you with all our findings in a professional, easy-to-understand final report. You’ll be able to access this via our secure portal, and we can post you a written report if you need us to.
Final Feedback
Once you’ve had your test results returned in your final report, we’re still available for ongoing support. We love hearing back from our clients. You can call or email us anytime to ask any questions you may still have, and to offer your feedback on our services.
How Does a Polygraph Test Work?
Polygraph lie detector tests work by measuring and recording different bodily states associated with lying. When we lie, our bodies react by releasing adrenaline (also known as the fight or flight hormone) into the blood. This hormone helps us deal with threats by preparing our bodies either to stay and fight or to run away. Adrenaline speeds up several processes in the body. When we conduct a polygraph test, what we’re doing is measuring the bodily functions that are affected by elevated levels of adrenaline. We say we are ‘detecting lies’, but we are really detecting responses to adrenaline.
What does the test measure?
Heart Rate and Heart Rate Variability
Blood Pressure
Skin Temperature and Conductivity

How Can I Benefit from a Polygraph Test?
The National Academy of Sciences’ research shows that adequately conducted polygraph tests are accurate over 90% of the time. Despite their accuracy, police officers and other law enforcement in the UK don’t use polygraph tests. The results are also never admissible in any criminal court in any of the four nations. That said, our tests still have a variety of applications for many different kinds of people. Polygraph tests are helpful tools to utilise in internal investigations into employee theft and misconduct. They also provide benefits to employers looking to screen job applicants in high-stakes hiring. Our polygraph tests are also a popular choice for clients looking to resolve disputes about infidelity. Whether you’re the accuser or the accused, a polygraph test offers a scientifically valid solution if you’re looking to get to the bottom of cheating allegations. Often, innocent people will volunteer themselves to perform a lie detector test to clear their names. Having a definitive test result to point to in the face of wrongful allegations can go a long way to proving your innocence.
